  • A server maintenance to upgrade our harddisk drives is being conducted between Saturday, 11 May 2013 - 8am to 6pm. During this period, connectivity may be intermittent, and downtime for the total period during this period could be up to 3 hours.

  • Our data centre and network vendors would be performing a network upgrade. This would cause a few minutes of downtime. This upgrade will upgrade some of the network switches and shifting of the servers into another rack.

    This affects all hosting servers hosted at Chicago DC.

Server Migration & Upgrade (Resolved)

    Dear Customers,

    Jweeb Solutions will be performing a server upgrade/migration on our Shared Hosting Servers to meet customer's demand. During this period, email services hosted on the shared hosting server would be affected

    Although the website and files on the server would still be accessible, please refrain from uploading any files to the server as they may be lost.

    In this migration/upgrade, website files would be copied to a new web server. As it involves a change of IP addresses, please allow some time for DNS propogation to take place. During this period of time, website visits may resolve to the current or new server depending on when the DNS setting that the visitor is using. Please allow sometime for DNS Propagation to take place in order to reach the new servers.

    For customers who are self managing their domain names, the nameserver settings will remain as ns1.jweeb.com and ns2.jweeb.com. The new IPs assigned to the nameservers are 50.31.98.78 and 50.31.98.79 respectively. If you are using A records to point to the server, please use 50.31.98.78.

    In this upgrade, customers would see the following:
    - Upgrade to the latest Intel Xeon Ivy Bridge Processors (higher speeds; faster processing)
    - Upgrade to SSD Harddisks (the fastest and more reliable class of hard disks)
